Terms and Conditions

General conditions and indications for the attendees of the JulepJazz workshops and classes.
The general terms and conditions for the attendees of JulepJazz workshops and classes are the essential and binding part of the contract-registration between the organizer and the individual who registers to the respective workshop.
By registering to the respective event or workshop, each individual is expected to pay the adequate fee within the deadline. In case the registration fee has not been paid before the event or workshop, the attendee must pay the fee at the time of the event or workshop before the start of the event or workshop according to the price list valid on that day. The attendee is responsible for all bank transfer costs.
The organizers have all the rights to change the time, location and price of the workshops.
In our partner dance workshops, we will change partners on a regular basis – as this improves your dancing experience on the base of the workshop content teaching to lead and/or follow various dance partners. Attendees can however opt out on spot and keep their partner during classes (not recommended, seriously).
Trough the registration process the organizers will try to assure a balance between Leaders and Followers in the Workshop. However they can not guarantee a balance as attendees might spontaneously not participate.
Cancellation by attendee
If a registration is cancelled more than two weeks before the workshop/start of a class series, the paid fee might be fully refunded. Cancellations closer than 2 weeks before the event might only get parts of the paid fee refunded. It’s to the discretion of the organizers.
Injuries and Thefts
The organizers will not be held responsible for any physical injuries or thefts that might occur in the time of any workshop.
Code of Conduct
By signing this document the attendee is bound to behave in accordance with the general rules of conduct and with the existing Austrian laws – all while respecting the house rules.
We collect personal information from you through the use of enquiry and registration forms and every time you e-mail us your details.

Julep Jazz Workshops are a private swing dance event and is intended to be a safe place that sometimes takes you out of your comfort zone. In that sense, and in that sense only, it is designed to be a risky place. We want you to push yourself, learn new things, and meet people who will challenge you in whatever corner of the arts you pursue.
We believe in humor and the power of not taking oneself seriously. We believe that the world is micro-managed to an annoying degree, and that after a day of work, deadlines, people who are takers and not givers, and socially awkward bosses, you should be able to unwind in an adult environment where you can see and participate in something real.
In order to make this happen, however, we have a small list of expectations:
This environment is for everyone regardless of gender/gender identity, race, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, religion, or whatever. We do not tolerate harassment of any kind. If you harass someone, you may be asked to leave; you may be banned. It is at our discretion so just don’t do it.
In keeping with the above, don’t use misogynist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or racist language. It’s not only wrong, it’s embarrassing and in poor form.
To be super-duper clear: No forms of harassment will be tolerated, which can include offensive verbal comments, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of workshops or other events, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention, whether in person or online. Anyone engaging in this type of behavior will be warned and/or ejected from the event without a refund at the organizer’s discretion.
Generally behave like an adult human being. We welcome every lifestyle and every flavor of person, but be respectful.
Should you have any harassment-related complaints or witness something happening to someone else, please bring your concerns. You can contact Maren at email@example.com or in person at any event. If you feel uncomfortable to speak to Maren directly feel free to talk to any other teacher or volunteer/staff of any of the JulepJazz Workshops. We will treat these issues with the strictest confidentiality. Your courage in coming forward can keep incidents from being repeated.
Another way of contacting us anonymously is trough sarahara. At https://julepjazz.sarahah.com/ you can let us know whatever you want with or without letting us know who you are!
